Akim Adhari

Akim, originates from Paris, but spent his early years on the coast of the Mediterranean by the clear waters of Tunisia. A confident and passionate relationship with the water began from a very young age as he spent hours spearfishing with his family who has been fisherman for generations.

This awareness which has been with him throughout his life has helped him achieve success in professional competitions in Muay thai (thai boxing) in Thailand as well as in teaching martial arts. Through this experience he learned to build a strong spirit in order to challenge and overcome his limits.

His passion for the water has brought him back to the sea in the beautiful shores of the Sinai, where working as an instructor he shares and brings freediving to an ever growing audience.

Akim strives to impart his knowledge and experience to those with an open mind and desire to learn. He believes that freediving builds a strong spirit, self-confidence, and a sense of peace, by competing with yourself. It is for people who want to know their ability and expand those limits.

Patrick Bouillon

Patrick’s powerful relationship with the sea began in the South of France, near Saint Tropez where, as a baby, he loved being in the water. It wasn’t until the age of 13, when his family moved to the beautiful Martinique Islands in the Caribbean and bought his first spear gun, that his passion for the sea intensified. His relationship with the sea became that much stronger that his mother had a constant struggle to get him onto dry land. He spent most of his days diving the blue waters catching lobster and fish for the family dinner table.

After becoming certified as a Scuba diving instructor, this gave him the freedom to roam the world. His travels took him to Thailand, where the freediving community was strong and his passion for the sport intensified.

Since then, here in Dahab, after being certified as a freediving instructor, he has diversified his skills unto the technical side of competition and safety diving. He has participated in many international freediving events, including the Freediving World Championships in Sharm El Sheikh in 2007 and 2008.

is pleasure comes from actually being part of the element; to be part of the water. Sharing this feeling with his students, encouraging them to discover this sense of peace, helping them to understand the art of freediving, before they explore the depths is the most important thing to him. Patrick has expanded his qualifications further to become a judge for the  freediving organization, AIDA.
